The Common Features Of The Bosch 300 Series Dishwashers
This line up was relatively recently revamped and many of the old features have been given a little bit of a boost in the refresh.
Low Noise Levels
We’re big fans of a world where dishwashers don’t make so much noise that we can’t sleep at night. For a mid-range dishwasher series, the Bosch 300 series is among the quietest. All the dishwashers in the range whisper at between 44 and 46 dBA.
24/7 Aqua Stop
This safety feature is something that we love. If the dishwasher detects that it is leaking water at any point in the cycle, it immediately shuts down and drains all the water from inside. It will even do this when it’s not in operation! That means you’re never going to come down to breakfast and find your kitchen swimming in water because of a dishwasher fault.
The RackMatic (New!)
This used to be exclusive to the 500 series but has now been implemented in the 300 series too. We found this to be one of the most important assets of the Bosch 300 series. It means that the racks are fully adjustable with multiple height levels available to you.
Triple Rack Technology
Many cheap dishwashers only have 2 racks, but all Bosch dishwashers come with 3 racks. This is a big deal because it means your silverware can be cleaned separately and this frees up space in the rest of the machine. So, you can clean more place settings with less water and energy use. The wheels have also been improved on the racks so that they “easy glide” now.
This is a cool piece of tech which boosts the temperatures during the drying cycle so that you get your dishes dried faster.
This is a poor choice if you want economy but if you need a wash done fast, then having a 60-minute cycle at your fingertips is really handy.
All of the Bosch dishwashers are equipped with Bosch’s proprietary PureDry™ system. This is an additional Sanitize Option that completes every cycle with an extra-hot wash at 162˚F. This thoroughly cleans, sanitizes, and drys dishes.
The Best Bosch 300 Series Dishwashers
There are an incredible 25 different models in the Bosch 300 Series and we can’t feature them all, so we’ve picked a couple of our favorites:
The Bosch 300 Series SHX53T55UC [ Check Price Today ]
This is one of the best made basic dishwashers we’ve ever seen. Yes, it’s not the absolute cheapest model on the market but the cheapest models are unknown Chinese brands and often it would be more reliable to wash your dishes with a pressure hose than use one of them.
You get four simple wash cycle options which includes a “sanitize” option which was approved by the National Sanitation Foundation. It’s ENERGY STAR complaint too which means it’s cheap to run. It’s also very, very quiet and that’s a massive plus compared to similarly priced dishwasher options.
If you don’t need fancy – this is the dishwasher for you.
The Bosch 300 Series SHEM63W55N [ Check Price Today ]
If you want a few more features in your Bosch 300 Series dishwasher than this might be the dishwasher for you. We appreciated it’s a slightly bigger option with enough room to hold 16 plate settings at a time (which ought to be enough for a full day’s use from a family of 4).
The inbuilt water softener is really cool and makes sure that it reduces your use of soaps and detergents – environmental friendliness is a hallmark of Bosch dishwashers. It’s also the kind of green credential that saves you money; which is even more important.
It’s also among the quietest of all the dishwashers in this series and runs at 44 DBA which is just perfect if you value your beauty sleep.
The Bottom Line on the Bosch 300 Series Dishwashers
If you’re looking for a cheap dishwasher then you may find that the Whirlpool brand of dishwasher is the best suited for you needs. However, if what you want is a top quality product for a sensible price then the Bosch 300 series may be what you’re looking for.
Bosch build reliable, long-lasting, eco-friendly and economical dishwashers for long-term use.
The Bosch 300 series is the best value that they offer, and we’ve found that we’d be happy to put any of these dishwashers to work in our kitchens.
We’re certain that you would be too.
