We end this month with a fright, not at how expensive things can be but at how cheap. It’s Halloween but nothing in our kitchen will go bump in the night.
But we will be taking a look at one of my favorite foodstuffs and a new budget machine for making them… toasted sandwiches! Which is better than ghosties in my book.
The Chefman Sandwich Maker Grill is not the most attractive sandwich maker to look at.
In fact, it looks like it was designed to go on the set of a 1980s low-budget Robocop rip-off but that’s not so important, what is important is “what are the sandwiches like?”
You Probably Won’t Be Making These
I love haggis but did you know that it’s illegal to sell haggis in the United States?
That’s because the food contains lung material and lungs aren’t certified as fit for eating in the U.S.A! So, it’s a sandwich that remains uniquely Scottish and you’ll have to travel quite a way to taste this.
I recommend that you do, though, they’re absolutely yummy!
So, The Chefman Sandwich Maker…
I’m not enthusiastic about its looks but this is a very competent sandwich toaster.
For less than 15 bucks, at the moment, on Amazon, it’s also the best bang for dollar you’re going to get in a sandwich maker outside of Mainland China.
It wasn’t the easiest sandwich maker to clean and you’ll need to be careful to make sure that you don’t scratch the plates if you want it to last for a long time.
However, it’s cheap enough that you can always replace it if things do go wrong.
