You probably all think I am a secret vegan but I promise you all that I’m not.
I do think, however, that it’s important for us all to eat more fruit and vegetables than we do.
I also think that traditional cookery often neglects the fruit and veg in favor of “more exciting” ingredients.
So, I like to turn to vegan cookery for some ideas and that led me to Chloe’s Kitchen: 125 Easy, Delicious Recipes for Making the Food You Love the Vegan Way by Chloe Coscarelli.
Yes, it’s a bunch of vegetable versions of things your family already like. A great way to sneak veggies past the kids, or at least that was the plan.
Don’t Panic Non-Vegans!
If you’re not a vegan and you think vegans are all about ruining food and the joy in food, please give Chloe a chance.
She really does seem to understand why many of us are reluctant to go vegan and she’s created some awesome alternative vegan options like these cinnamon roll pancakes.
So, What Did I Think Of The Book?
Chloe’s Kitchen is really good. Not everything inside is a perfect alternative to the non-vegan equivalent but many are very close indeed.
Chloe obviously wasn’t vegan at some point because she really does get non-vegan cookery.
I strongly urge you to pick up a copy and start eating healthy.
