If you’re just starting to put together a kitchen full of equipment, you won’t always have a lot of money to spend on covering the basics. A well-stocked kitchen requires a lot of stuff and that means making sure you get value for your money.

So, when I came across this Cook N Home 15-Piece Non-stick Stay Cool Handle Cookware Set I was, naturally, intrigued. It’s a very reasonable price on Amazon but could it provide a quality cooking experience at that price? So, I put it to the test.

Presentation And Reasonable Quality

I’d be lying if I said this set was made to last an eternity, it’s not. But it is surprisingly chunky and everything that comes in the box fits together well. The manufacturer hasn’t cut corners to save a few coins.

My only real reservation with it is that the non-stick coating is a little fragile but to be fair to Cook N Home this is true in many more expensive cookware sets. The trick to keeping that non-stick coat is not to use sharp implements inside it.

So, What’s In The Box?

Well, your money buys you a 1 quart and a 2-quart saucepan, a 3-quart casserole pot, a 5-quart Dutch oven, and an 8 inch and 10-inch frying pan! Lids are supplied as appropriate and as a nice bonus there are some nylon utensils for stirring, frying and serving with.

I have to say that I am very surprised at how much bang for the buck there is in this starter cookware set. It should last for 3-5 years and that gives you plenty of time to save up for something even better next time around.

  1. I could really use this set! I haven’t ever had a complete cookware set so this would be really nice. I love to cook and entertain.

  2. I often visit your blog and have noticed that you don’t update it often. More
frequent updates will give your page higher authority & rank
in google. I know that writing articles takes a lot of time, but you can always help yourself with miftolo’s tools which will shorten the time of creating
an article to a few seconds.

  6. Future daughter-in-law is an award winning teacher and does very little cooking. My son tries to fill in. Heaven help us. They need all the help they can get. Either set of cookware would be a tremendous help.

  7. I began a ritual close to 3years ago now. It is to make at least 1 to 3 new dishes each month. With the beginnings of renal failure I’ve had to change diets. A new cookware set would make this much more enjoyable. Thank you.

  8. When you cook you want to have the best to do the best job and please all those who are eating your food and this product will for sure do the job and do it easier the other products.

  9. Needs new cook ware & utilise mine is from my daughter who’s 27 years old now
    I need a change!

  10. I need some cookware. All I have is ones that ppl have gave me. And most of them stick. So our food don’t turn out that great!

      • This is my humble opinion from one woman to another.

Keep your old cookware. Especially if it is Farberware or Reverware.

I have bought two sets of the “new” cookware, and I absolutely hate it! Seems that even though they are non-stick and great to cook with, the pans seem to be too small to make enough for my family, thus I begin choking with my cookware and end up using my Nesco Roaster or crock pot to finish cooking. Yes, I am Italian, an I still serve big Sunday dinners.

I cannot seem to get them clean. It seems there is a great residue no matter how many times I wash them. I only use Dawn for dishes.
