Pans are one of the most important investments you can make in your kitchen. I’d put them second in importance (only knives are more important) when you start building your “grown-up” collection of cookware. That is, once you’re out of college, and you are ready to start spending some real money on kitchen goods that will last a lifetime.
That’s why I am so excited about the T-Fal Saute Pan that I am reviewing this week. This is a seriously grown-up pan and for a short while, at least, it’s massively discounted to a college price. On that basis, this is our pan of the year, an incredibly versatile cooking workhorse that will last the best part of a lifetime.
What’s The Difference Between Frying and Sautéing?
I used to wonder about this too and was ready to conclude that the latter term was just a posh term for frying when a friend of mine let me into the secret. Now, I’ll let Chinese Cooking Demystified shine some light on it for you. This is a great video for a really tasty snack. Yum:
And as it’s broccoli, it’s kind of healthy too.
So, The T-Fal Pan?
The T-Fal Saute Pan (Jumbo Cooker with Lid) is brought to us by one of the classic brand names of the kitchen. This is a company that’s been around for a long time and will be around for a long time to come too.
It’s well-made, robust and easy to clean. As you’d expect from T-Fal, it’s truly non-stick and it looks great as well. If you’re going to buy a single “grown-up” item for your kitchen this year – this is what you should put the money into.
