While doing research for this Danby Portable Dishwasher Review our own countertop dishwasher stopped working in a puff of smoke. We hoped this Danby product would be a good replacement dishwasher.
If only it were a little bit bigger, we think that the Danby Portable Dishwasher [model:DDW1801MWP] would be the perfect dishwashing solution for everybody.
As it is, it’s an 18” wide model and that’s going to put off some people with larger families and that’s perfectly understandable – you’re going to need to run this twice or even three times a day to keep up in that case.
However, if you have a smaller family or you’re short on space with a small or tiny kitchen then this is a brilliant device.
Our Danby Portable Dishwasher Review is a positive one!
Not only does it fit comfortably in an 18” space but it also has wheels so you can move it around easily and clean behind it and underneath it – something we wish all dishwashers had.
It’s Energy Star Compliant and uses a very low amount of water too.
These green credentials don’t come at the expense of features though. You’ll find it has 6 wash cycles to choose from and a decent 8 place setting capacity with a built-in dinnerware basket for your knives, forks, etc.
Danby’s customers are mostly enthusiastic about the model and many were impressed by the low price of this model when compared to others in a similar class.
However, some of their customers have reported that they wish the customer service they received when they reported issues had been better.
Our test model worked fine during the testing process and given the price and feature set!
