I think that it’s important to get your kids interested in cooking from a young age. The trouble is that it’s often not very safe to get your kids mucking around in the kitchen until they are a bit older. You don’t want them to accidentally burn themselves or cut themselves, do you?
So, why not get them interested in cooking by using a fun alternative instead? I quite like those children’s kitchens but they can be very expensive. So, for today, I am recommending the Quirky Engine Entertainment game called Hoagie. It’s a game for all the family and we had quite a lot of fun playing it.
Real Food Intermission – How To Make A Hoagie
The hoagie is an Italian style sub which originates in America and not in Italy. It’s a world famous export, and in fact, I was recently in Kuala Lumpur where you can buy a hoagie in their Sentral World Mall! It was pretty good too given I was so far away from the States!
Check out this video on how to make the perfect hoagie and it’ll have your mouth watering in an instant!
Yum, sandwiches rock!
So, The Game?
The Hoagie game is awesome fun. You work in teams to build the perfect (if plastic) sandwich and at the same time you try to throw off the other teams efforts by “spoiling” their ingredients.
As no real food is involved this is completely safe and won’t hurt anyone or put anyone’s health at risk.
We must have played this for a few minutes every day since we bought it.
It’s a great pre-dinner work out of our minds before our mouths get theirs!
