The Kitchen Aid Artisan Mixer is one of the world’s best known mixers.

It’s won multiple awards for excellence and if you’re serious about baking it’s simply got to be on your list to evaluate because there’s very little out there that can compete.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re making cakes or the heaviest of bread doughs, the KitchenAid product will make short work of them.

In fact, we’d say that even if all you do, all day, every day is make heavy bread dough; you won’t be disappointed in this ox of a mixer.

KitchenAid Artisan Mixer

When I first heard the best mixer buzz about the KitchenAid Artisan Mixer, I’ll confess I was a little skeptical.

Word on the street was that this was the “best mixer in the world for home use.” That’s a pretty bold claim, right?

Well, I am pleased to report that this wasn’t an exaggeration, the KitchenAid Artisan Mixer is a beast of a mixer and here’s why!

Top Features Of The KitchenAid Artisan Mixer

The first ever stand mixer was invented by KitchenAid.

It’s a testament to the brand’s staying power and quality that 100 years after that invention, they’re still the biggest name in mixers.

There’s only one feature missing from the KitchenAid Artisan Mixer and that’s the lack of overload protection, though we’re not sure it needs it given the performance of the product.

Not only does it mix brilliantly but you’re also going to pleased discover that there are 10 options attachments that can turn this mixer into nearly every kitchen appliance you might need.

Design And Build

This is a professional product and the price tag reflects that but so does the build quality.

The mixing bowl is made of stainless steel which means it will be around long after we will. The motor could probably be used to power a tank – there’s nothing that this mixer couldn’t tackle in our tests, nothing.

Try it with tough bread dough, let it run for about 10 minutes and see how good the dough is and how there’s nothing left stuck to the bowl.

This shows just how thorough the KitchenAid Artisan Mixer is when it comes to kneading.

The design is eye-catching, and we’ve got to note that it comes in a choice of 41 colors (some very similar to each other admittedly).

Why Is This One Of Our Favorite Artisan Mixers?

We’ve had a KitchenAid Artisan mixer since it came out. It’s such a permanent part of our kitchen that we’d forgotten to give it a review; it’s there and that’s how it should be.

If there’s a better mixer out there – we don’t know about it.

It’s that simple.

Ease Of Use

If you know how to set up a mixer, then you’re never going to struggle to use the KitchenAid Artisan Mixer.

There are excellent control settings that let you take control of the mixing process and the solid build of everything means that you’re never risking breaking any of the components.

We also tried some of the attachments and while the juicer is obviously going to be easy to use, even the ice cream maker (which is clearly a bit more complex) was a pleasure to put into action.

It’s important to note that a stand mixer really gives you the most capacity when it comes to baking at home.

I love a hand mixer and on light batters and doughs, it’s more than good enough but when you’re baking some whole-wheat bread, for example, it’s a real chore to work with a hand mixer.

Stand mixers, on the other hand, don’t require you to put your back into the mixing, they do it for you – so even heavy doughs are simple to work with.

Cleaning And Maintenance

Cleaning and maintaining your KitchenAid Artisan Mixer is very easy.

Always unplug an electrical appliance before you clean it.

The mixing bowl can be placed in a dishwasher or washed by hand with soapy water. The body just needs a gentle wipe with a damp, soapy cloth to get it clean.

Our Final Thoughts On The KitchenAid Artisan Mixer

If you love to bake, then you need to buy a KitchenAid Artisan Mixer it is simply the best mixer there is.

However, we acknowledge that this is not a cheap machine. At over $250 at the time we go to press – this isn’t an impulse buy.

You should know that you’re going to use it before you shell out for it. However, if you do purchase a KitchenAid Artisan Mixer – you will never regret it.

This is an awesome product.

It’s easy to clean. It’s easy to set up. You can buy additional tools to extend the functionality. It’s hard-wearing and will last for years to come.

There’s very little negative to say about it. If you test it head-to-head with any competing product, and I did, it just feels better all round.

I’ve never had one, but visiting my older sister used hers and now in love with it. I’ve always used a hand mixer and since haven’t been able to do much baking because of hand problems .I’d like to get back to more baking especially for the grandkids.

Still have my small hand mixer from my bridal shower some 25+ years ago and it would be great to update to this fantastic looking mixer in Blue to match my kitchen decor. I would be much happier using a mixer if my hands were not screaming at me the whole time due to the arthritis as well. Thanks for the chance to win!

I have never had one of these KitchenAid Mixer. I am sure it would come in very handy since I am always cooking up something. I bake alot and believe it would take alot of extra work by doing everything by hand. Kitchen Aid makes the best appliances. There well bilt and last forever. My Grandmother had one of the first mixer by KitchenAid and it was along time ago. She gave hers a workout but it never failed to work.

My mom had a KitchenAid Mixer from the time I was in grade school. It was white, the only color it came in those days. But she made everything in it, bread, cookies, cakes.
It passed to my brother I get paying so he could continue the traditions. This would be a very welcome addition to my kitchen.

KitchenAid mixers are great! They do everything, with the attachments you have everything you could need for keeping your family happy.
