Are you looking for a top-notch blender but you’re not willing to shell out the small fortune that is a Vitamix? We hear you.
We also think that you’re going to be as happy as we were to discover the NutriBullet Pro 900 Series Blender/Mixer. This is a great blender at a great price.
How We Choose A Great Blender
If you’ve read our Guide to the Best Blenders of 2019 then you’ll know this but just to recap for those who haven’t. When we look at blenders we examine:
- Their size. They’ve got to deliver enough output to be worthwhile and we look at the physical space they take up too.
- Their speed and power. More than 500 Watts is normally enough to tackle the biggest jobs.
- Other functionality. How much more do you get for your money?
- Price. Which is why we won’t be buying a Vitamix no matter how good they are.
So, How Does the NutriBullet Pro 900 Series Blender/Mixer Measure Up?
In terms of size the NutriBullet Pro 900 Series comes with a 32-ounce capacity which isn’t huge but isn’t small either. It places it in the mid-range of similar blenders and it’s more than enough for day-to-day family use but we wouldn’t use this if we were catering to large groups of people all the time, either.
It is, however, quite a robust device and comes with a bunch of attachments and other accessories and that means it’s not the smallest of blenders in its category either. You’re going to need to give this a home on a work bench somewhere in your kitchen, we think.
Having said that, the NutriBullet Pro 900 Series Blender/Mixer has a very modern stylish design and it’s going to look good wherever you put it. That’s important too.
It packs an impressive 900 Watts (which is the 900 in the name) and that means it absolutely pulverises anything you throw in it.
This blender can also function as a mixer and that’s a nice addition for the money too.
And that brings us, quite happily, to price.
This is a really powerful blender with a lot of extras thrown into the box, but it won’t break the bank. The pricing on this model is sub-$100 in most places and we think that’s an absolute bargain.
This is said to release the most nutrients from vegetables, seeds and fruit. We’re not entirely convinced by this argument (your stomach is full of hydrochloric acid – it’s quite good at digesting things) but it certainly renders them both tasty and fine.
This is a pretty good alternative to a Vitamix but at a fraction of the price.
Our only minor niggle is that it’s not as easy to clean as some other blenders we’ve tested.
This blender would have made our list of the top blenders of 2019 if we’d have tested it earlier.
As is, it’s a great blender at a superb price. This is your best choice if you want quality for a great price.
