I gave away an ice cream maker recently and it was one of the most popular giveaways that we’ve ever done on Kitchen Authority. So, popular that I wanted to do it again. Now, that’s going to happen because I’ve got the Sunsir Home Mini Automatic Ice Cream Maker to review!
Not only does this beautiful little machine make ice cream but it’s also quite capable of handling frozen yogurt and sorbet too! That was a huge win in my home because my husband loves sorbet and won’t touch ice cream anymore.
The History Of Ice Cream
Ice cream has a really interesting history and you’d be surprised to learn that the former British Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher, in her pre-political days invented the process by which air is pumped into ice cream to make it light and fluffy!

So… The Sunsir
The Sunsir Home Mini Automatic Ice Cream Maker isn’t very expensive and that does mean they’ve cut a couple of corners with it. The worst is that the instructions in the box are pretty poor but it’s easy to work out what you should do.
Also, the lid requires locking during the making of ice cream so try not to overfill it. Other than that, it’s a great little device which really does make wonderful ice creams, sorbets, and yogurts.
