I don’t know if I am getting old or whether all the good names have been taken but I didn’t immediately take to “The Nerdy Nummies Cookbook” or it’s possible that I wasn’t geeky enough to be part of the intended audience.
However, it’s my job to test the things that come across Kitchen Authority’s desk and I was pleasantly surprised to find how good this cookbook was and more importantly, how much my kids loved to get involved in making the recipes within.
Never Seen The Nerdy Nummies Before?
I confess… this was my first introduction to the idea of Nerdy Nummies and I needed to investigate further. If you’re wondering whether or not you’re going to enjoy the style of this book then this neat video on how to make a Hatchimals cake is probably going to help you make your mind up one way or another:
I find that the more exposure I get to this, the more I like it but I can see how other people’s mileage may vary too.
What Did I Think?
This is a lot of fun and most importantly it’s the kind of fun that you can use to better bond with your kids and draw them into an interest in cooking and health and nutrition. My kids both love to cook and each of them helps out in the kitchen at some point in the week, so the Nerdy Nummies let me pay them back for their contribution by having some additional fun while we create great food.
